Extra Spring & Little Plastic Tube with Blue Colored Material ?

I acquired both my Bobergs from my local dealer and in one of my cases is a extra pair of sites, a coil spring that is about a 1 1/2 long and 3/8 in diameter and a little plastic tube filled with blue material? Can anyone line me out as to what is in the tube and why a extra spring would be in there? I am hoping it's the anti-seize I need for my unlock block and not lock tight or something? Also is the spring possibly a fireing pin spring and why would it possibly be in the box ? Thanks in advance Jeremy

The anti-seize is a thick grease, and is gray.

My guess would be Loctite. The LPS anti-sieze that Boberg recommends is a very thick dark grey paste with a consistency like bearing grease. I have no idea about the spring. Is it a tension spring or a compression spring? Pics would help if possible.

I do not think that spring is for a Boberg.

It looks exactly like the outer recoil spring for a Rohrbaugh R9.

Thanks Bob it was a Dr that originally owned both my pistols and I believe he owned a Rohrbaugh also so I bet that got tossed in the case somehow. Thanks Jeremy

Here, I found this on GunBroker.

that is a rohbaugh recoil spring. the blue liquid is blue (meduim hold) threadlock. it is what we used on all screws in the pistol.

you can see from the size of the recoil spring, why the rohbaughs were never bragged about when it came to the " shooting experience"

Mark, I know this is off topic but your the best resource here I have 2120 & 2143 am i in a good spot to where a lot of the bugs were worked out or not ? I travel a lot and have yet to be able to shoot them. Best Jeremy

I guess I do not know what you are saying here Mark.  The first R9 I purchased was junk but after that I have several good ones.

What does spring size have to do with it?
