At 7:55 you see that this XR9-S has the short trigger.  I wonder if it has the 7.5 lb spring or the 6?

Well its obvious he likes it.  I've thought Hickok45 would give the Boberg a good review.  He did miss the key benefit that the design allows for a longer barrel in a shorter package.  Hey Hickok, you can get the Shorty for $995 not all of them are $1300!

It would be great if he did a follow up with an XR9-L and +P ammo and also Underwood +P+.

Have you noticed that just about everyone shooting a Boberg for the first time grins and comments on how they like the way it shoots?

I couldn't pass on adding a comment.  To your point, I kept it simple.  Regardless of what you think about how it looks or how much it costs it really boils down to what I left as my comment.  "If you shoot one, you'll want one."

Waiting on my local dealer to get his Dealer status finalized with Boberg at the moment, but I've pre-sold 3 XR9's just by letting people shoot mine.

According to the owners manual +p+ voids the warranty.

I wish I could shoot like that.  I was told that one of the gongs he was hitting was at 80 yards - I believe it was the one where you would see the bullets arcing in and hitting it.

I considered offering Hickok45 my XR9-S to test last year but he posted a video indicating he did not want to be in the gun shipping business.  He will accept guns from local folks.

Arne, you should find out how to contact him and offer him an "L" to evaluate.  I think he would be honored and you'd get the additional publicity from a 2nd video.

Here is a link to him evaluating an FNP-45 Tactical (a gun I own).  He so enjoys the 230grains hitting his metal targets that he giggles through most of the video - its just fun to watch.  In another video, I believe it was the FN 5.7 that he recognized the quality and expense but didn't see a need to own.  You can tell he likes the XR9-Shorty enough that the purchase price is not an issue.

Well very good vid  ........ The harping about the price kind of bugs me. Lots of enthusiast have expensive firearms, shooting can be expensive ...Sooo :) that being said I don't begrudge Nighthawk, Ed Brown, Les Bear or Guncrafter Industry's. I own their guns and love them all.

Personally, I liked the video and I've got about four more weeks to wait for my XR9-S who shall be known as "shorty" to get here. I do know his big brothers Ed, Les and the others are excited too !!!!

We were talking in the shop today and the thought was, "would you trust your life with the cheapest gun you could find?"

I wish I could get Hickok45's name so I can contact him.

I also wish he would have mentioned we have a gun priced under $1k.

I can contact tnoutdoors9 and get that for you Arne, or at least ask him to pass a message to him to contact you.

Wow - over 7K views today already - this guy has a following!

Update: now over 13K at 9 PM!

Now 23K views at 10 PM!  It is going to be interesting to see where this goes.

Next morning - 36K views in 24 hours.

I sent your email address and cell phone number to tnoutdoors9 to pass along to Hickok45, so if someone calls with a slow southern drawl, it might be him.
