that is rare... we did get a batch of "bad metal" once but weeded those out quickly.

of the few unlocks i have seen cracked, it was never in that area, but never say never... i have a few spares for sale...

Thanks! Bond says they have the replacement part, and I'm planning to send the XR9 to them anyway to see if they can fix the LRE problem. But if for some reason they can't replace the unlock block, I'll get back with you!

Mark:

Do you have any of the revised 45 unlock blocks?

The only .45 parts I have at this time are some return springs, a stainless barrel and a slide.

I will most likely drop the barrel on gunbroker later this week. .45 Shorty parts move real quick there...

I am always trying to get my hands on parts. If I get any unlock blocks or insert blocks (the part responsible for LRE) I will post it here first

Mark...I sent you a private message a few weeks ago looking for parts one of them is a 45 return spring.

I wil take it

Hello MOLLIE

For curiosity sake; can you give me a ball park serial # of your 9?  THANKS

Hi John,
It is S020XX.

Thanks Mollie!  Mine is of the same group.  Only 1000 rounds but I will keep an eye on it.  I will follow your journey with Bond.  Sorry for your problems- Hope you have a great Holiday otherwise.

First post / major fan of the Berg's ! Have a platinum and onyx XR9-S near Mollie's # my two are in the S021XX series. Arne or team is this something I should be concerned about within my series? With Respect Jeremy aka indy5050

Hi Mollie, I'd be interested to find out how you make out with Bond, especially if they have a fix for the LRE issue. Also, I'm interested in your overall experience.

Thanks,

Jamie

Hi Jamie,
Bond promptly replaced the cracked unlock block and the barrel with the new coated parts. They did not fix the LRE problem.
I was very pleased with the quick turnaround and the new parts that don't require the anti-seize grease. I just wish the LRE problem could be fixed.
Mollie
