Causes and solutions for live round ejections?

I have the 45 and a number of us have reported live round ejections. I believe that this happens with the 9's also. My live round ejections are of the type where after a round is fired, the empty…Continue

Removing the hammer pivot pin

I need to remove my XR-45 hammer pivot pin. Does anybody know for sure if I drive it from left to right, right to left, or if it does not matter?Continue

XR45-S compatibility with laser training cartridges.

Does anybody have any experience with the .45 and either the Laserlyte or Sure Strike laser training cartridges. I'm interested to know if they chamber and unload in the Boberg without issues, does…Continue

The USCCA is giving away a Boberg XR45-S

This is great news because it gets the Boberg name and photo in front of lots of potential users who would not otherwise see it. Any time I see the name or picture of a Boberg outside this site, it…Continue

"Bob, We are in complete agreement. My issue with the back strap is to solve the trigger reach problem. It could be solved either by replaceable backstraps like Glock or simply replacement grips with less bulge."

"Just out of curiosity, Bob, what aspects of the 45 do you think need re-design. If It were up to me, I would vote for fixing the LRE problem, a less pronounced curve in the back strap area of the grips, and I see no reason for Boberg's…"

"From the tone of the article, I would assume that the writer got the information from talking to the rep at the Bond booth. I'm with you, though, It's the first I have heard of it. By not referencing the previous Boberg .45 design, it…"

"Here is a link to the original article https://epictactical.com/new-bond-arms-2017 That would be so amazing for us .45 owners. It means repairs, spare parts, upgrades and improvements (fix for LRE's), and more accessories from other vendors…"

"Mark, So for those of us with the .45, is there any way to perform the correct modification or have it performed? Can you describe the modification or better yet, show us a picture of the modification correctly done?"

"If I owned THAT particular pistol, I would feel the same way. My Boberg however is my daily carry pistol, so I'm willing to do whatever I need to to maximize reliability, and the occasional LRE is the one remaining fly in the ointment."

"I'm with Art on this one. I had at least one case where I fired, the empty brass was ejected, along with a live round, and a new round was chambered. I can be sure of this because the ejected live round stove piped, and that is the only reason…"

Art Courville replied to Major Johnson's discussion Causes and solutions for live round ejections?
"I''m pretty sure I have had at least two instances where a round ejected and I fire at least one round afterwards. I don't understand how that could happen, but apparently a round gets properly chambered at the same time. On one of…"

Alternative grips for 45-S

I am embarking on a quest to find, or even create, a set of grips for my new 45-S. I'm sure Arne has done a great job finding a grip size and shape that is the optimum compromise to fit the needs of the gun and the hands of a wide variety of users. My hand however, would get a better grip if the arched section on the rear of the grip were less pronounced/protruding. The flat mainspring housing on a 1911 also fits my hand much better than the arched version that most seem to prefer. Has…
